celebrating Marian's birthday

just in case you thought I'd forgotten Marian (are you reading this??) here is Marian being sung to by her friends at MEH -Happy Birthday to You!! she even managed to make a speech thanking everyone for their good wishes.

long service medal

jennifer from head office (greensleeves) made a special trip to MEH to present long service awards to Diane and Mary. They have both completed over 10 years service and received a framed certificate and gift vouchers. pictured here is Diane on the left.

here is helen c, sporting a new look; she had just had her hair done in the new look salon at MEH and so she agreed to pose for a picture as we thought she looked so lovely!

trip to brookside


we arranged a trip to the garden centre called brookside, near east peckham today. it has a lovely coffee shop and very nice helpful staff! a busy day today with hairdressing, the manicurist and a clothing company set up in the games room for residents to choose some new spring clothes.

The Oscars come to MEH


a very proud Karen thanked her staff and residents for participating in the training film for the 'Aged Care Channel' tonight and after serving champagne, she dished out the oscars!

in all, karen handed out 30 oscars to residents and staff who took part in the 'aged care channel' production of 'duty of care' - here are a few of the winners:

the film premiere...

the film in the lounge had several showings today, the last at 7.15 this evening! the table was laid up for a buffet for relatives and friends of mount ephraim, and we would like to thank everyone for attending and making it a special evening.

tuesday 22nd feb

sonas and keep fit sessions with sue this morning; really fun classes and we could hear the residents singing from along the corridor!

sausage plait for lunch, then Lesley Orsen and husband Ray arrived to set up in the lounge for the afternoon classical music concert. full house again, grateful thanks to them.

sheila was busy in the kitchen preparing for Oscars night tomorrow - the Courier promised to send a reporter to capture the event!!

flower power!


at lunch time we collected another batch of beautiful flowers from sainsbury's. Sheila offered to help with the arranging, as did patty and hilda. lucille came along to watch and got roped in to do a vase. they were rewarded with chocolate!



meanwhile, the rest of the residents were being entertained in the lounge by Sue who was holding a reminisence session.

later we were joined by lucille who modelled one of the new feather boa's which arrived today. marie is looking pleased with her corsage and below is the box of boa's in lots of different colours.
